Medical Survival Consultants

Medical Survival Consultants (MSC) and the Administration for Health and Safety Instruction (AHSI) specialize in quality education throughout Southern New England.  The headquarters location in the heart of the SouthCoast Massachusetts region covers the courses for Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.  A satellite location in Connecticut covers only off site course at your location.

We specialize in CPR, First Aid, ServSafe, Babysitting, First Responder, Bloodborne Pathogens and Oxygen Administration as well as AED sales, training and service.

We host courses at our location or yours.  For off site courses there may be a minimum student requirement and/or option for travel fees in place of the minimum student requirements.

New courses are designed on a regular basis as there is a demand for a specific topic.  Most courses designed by the Administration for Health and Safety Instruction are offered at Medical Survival Consultants training facilities.  If you are looking for a course you need, give Medical Survival Consultants a call to see if we can offer it or if we already do.  We often offer courses that we do not list on our publications due to space constraints.

Don't forget to visit MSC at the "Southcoast Go Healthy EXPO" in October at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical Highschool.  Medical Survival Consultants will be at booth #34.  In the auditorium you can listen to our very own Katrina Francis, DPT speak about a Hot Topic.  In past years she has spoken on "The Diabetic Prevention Mystery, the Truth about Pre-Diabetes"  and "High Blood Pressure, what every person should know."  At our booth you will have the opportunity to test you CPR skills on our ZOLL AED.  The person with the best score at the end of the day will receive a prize.

SouthCoast "Go Healthy" Expo

A Health and Wellness fair for all those health conscious individuals out there.  This free event is being hosted by SouthCoast Media Group, which runs all of out local news papers.  During this big event at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High school one of our own, Katrina Francis, DPT, will be speaking on "The Diabetic Prevention Mystery, the Truth about Pre-Diabetes."  Medical Survival Consultants (MSC) will also be represented at booth #34.  Don't forget to stop by and test you CPR skills on our ZOLL Plus AED to win a prize.

BLAST Babysitting Course

Our Babysitting course designed by the American Academy of Pediatrics for ten to sixteen year olds that are looking to babysit or take care of their siblings.  We cover all you need to know about child care, safety and first aid for children in your care.  This course also covers activities, what you should include in this first aid kit, how to diaper, feed, discipline and burp the child or infant.  Learn with our leading instructor on our equipment and meet our various baby and children manikins.

Infection Control for the Dental Healthcare Provider

A course designed for dentists, dental hygienists, dental techs and dental receptionists.  Since the CDC has different guidelines for Dental workers than they do for other healthcare workers.  Since most courses are generalized for healthcare workers in general and few are specific for the Dental Healthcare Worker we have designed this course and since critiqued and improved this course to meet the needs of the dental industry.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Course for those that may be exposed to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. This course is based on the CDC's most recent guidelines for infection control.  Those that should take this course include police officers, fire fighters, EMTs and paramedics and those working on the in hospital and other clinical setting (nurses, radiology technologists, lab techs).  Tattooist are required by law to take this course as well as our CPR and First Aid courses.
